This home extension was part of a complete refurbishment project. We had done internal and external reconfigurations to adapt the space to the client's needs. We did a combination of pitch and flat roof with 3 skylights and a bifold door. The new space became the new kitchen, consisting in an open-plan style with dining area and direct access to the out door. Along with that, we had renovated the complete house, ripping out floors, ceilings and fitting underfloor heating, engineer flooring. A full re-wire and plumbing was done, the exterior had cladding with breathable solution to avoid moisture, condensation and mould that was a previous issue.
We introduced a open-ceiling concept to gain more amplitude on the ceiling, so beams had to go across the ceiling to the existing wall to hold the roof structure. Working with an architect on this project made everything run smoothly and ideas could be realised.
